About Us

Slater Jones Bookkeeping is a family partnership based in Tamworth, Staffordshire, staffed by friendly, professional and qualified bookkeepers.

We work with all manner of clients all throughout the UK

We work at our own premises, remotely accessing our client’s data through cloud-based accounting software as required. We keep in touch via any of our clients’ preferred means of communication – be that text, e-mail, video conference through Zoom or WhatsApp, or over the phone.

We pride ourselves in supporting start-ups, sole traders, partnerships, non-profit organisations and individuals with their bookkeeping, accounts and tax (self-assessment and VAT) requirements so they can focus on what they do best – running their business and living their life.

For limited companies and limited partnerships we offer bookkeeping services and preparation of data for onward submission to your preferred accountant. No accountant? No problem – we can recommend one!

Allison Slater

I have over 25 years experience in financial services working for one of the major banks at branch and head office level.

In 2014, I decided to pursue a career change and started studying with the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB) completing the necessary courses and examinations with distinction to become an ICB Member qualified at Level III in Bookkeeping and Accounts and Level III Diploma in Self Assessment Tax Returns.

I set up a bookkeeping business that would allow me to work with clients on an individual basis. In 2016, I was then joined by my sister, Victoria, and we converted the business into a family partnership.

Victoria Jones

I worked for over 5 years in accounts departments of various national organisations using a variety of in-house and corporate accounting systems.

Though I really enjoyed the work, I had the opportunity to move into the education sector and changed career. However, when Allison told me she was planning to re-train as a bookkeeper, I decided it was time for me to return to the accounting world.

My previous accounts experience helped me to quickly complete the necessary courses and I gained distinctions with honours in my examinations becoming an ICB Member qualified at Level III in Bookkeeping and Accounts.
